Who Really Cares?

Recently I decided to take a break from all social media. During this time I felt called to do the 40 Day Prayer Challenge, Draw The Circle by Mark Batterson, along with reading his book The Circle Maker at the same time. I was excited to see what God would show me in these next 40 days. While I was anxiously waiting for my prayer journal and book to come in the mail, I had lost sight of how much the enemy loves nothing more than to attack when you are fasting and praying. Day 2 of the prayer challenge the spiritual warfare began. The difference is I’ve learned to watch for God’s blessings in these times. As I reached over to get my highlighter something was attached to it. It was a little card with Mark 11:24 on it and the card said “Expect”. Through tears I had to smile. It was a note from God reminding me to expect big things from Him.

The next morning this scripture was the first one that appeared when I opened my bible app:

For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
Isaiah 41:13 NLT

Last night it just so happened the message at church was on battling spiritual warfare and standing firm in your faith.

Regardless of your circumstances, if Jesus is in control of your life it never matters if you feel alone or like no one cares. Jesus is the only one who never leaves you.

There are many times circumstances can cause our happiness to disappear, however those circumstances can never steal the peace and joy only Jesus can provide.

We all want prayers to be answered immediately, but that is not how God works. There is always something we can learn from trials and waiting.

I’m still waiting for prayers to be answered and mountains to move. However, there’s one thing I know for sure, they will be answered at the perfect time.

Until then I will continue drawing closer to God and praising Him for what He has done and is going to do!
