You do not have to have the title leader in order to be considered a leader. We all lead people every day whether we realize it or not.

I have often stopped to reflect on what I am doing and if it’s the example I want to set for the generation behind me, especially these kids.

If you follow Jesus, you are leading and serving His church without realizing it.

Look at those people around you on a daily basis, those people are His church. It is not just the people inside a church building that are His church. He died for all of us, so each and every person you come into contact with is a part of His church.

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood” Acts 20:28

Now, stop and consider who you are leading and serving without realizing it.

Are you leading and serving them in a positive way? Would you be proud of them to mimic your lifestyle?

Sometimes to lead effectively we must walk away quietly from situations that are not leading us in the right direction. Better yet, sometimes we have to walk away from situations if they are causing those that follow us to go in the wrong direction. Romans 18:21 tells us to not do anything that would cause a person to stumble.

Today, I encourage you to think as you do things and be aware of those watching. Lead by example.
