Recently it seems like many friends that have impacted my life in a huge way have been led by God to go somewhere else in ministry. This happened with more than one friend and both were about the same time. It has been something I have struggled with, because regardless how strong my faith seems, or how strong I think my faith is, I still get angry sometimes at God and this was one of those times. I felt like I was not done with these friends pouring over me and mentoring me to be the woman in Christ I want to be.
Why does God bring someone in our life that can impact it so greatly to all of the sudden remove them?
After many discussions with God and many tears, I still do not have the answer and may never have the answer this side of heaven.
Trying to find a peace when the void is still there in my heart is sometimes difficult.
Today, I missed seeing both of these friends at the exact same time at the exact same place I would have seen them both.
For the first time since they both left, I felt a peace. These friends help make me who I am today. More confident, closer to Christ, a better friend, hopefully a better wife and mother.
While these friends impacted my life in a way they may never fully understand; I felt God calling me to do the same thing. “Make an impact in someone’s life today, step out of your comfort zone and reach out when I tell you to”.
Every person that crosses our path and becomes our friend will leave an impression on our hearts. I believe these are impressions that define us. Hopefully making us better friends to someone and more like Jesus everyday.
No one is ever guaranteed to be in our lives forever. We have to make the most of each moment with them.
Find those friends that build you up, encourage you, pray for you. Surround yourself with people of all walks of life because everyone has something to offer you, and you have something to offer everyone.
Today, as you go about your routine, step out of your comfort zone and go where God leads you. You will be the answer to a prayer someone was looking for.
What kind of impression do you want to leave on friends? For me, it is the Joy of Jesus. I want to leave a legacy where people remember I tried my best daily to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
